Replacement of existing Control Panel
Control panels are used to control lift operation by electronically communicating with other components. Replacing the existing control panel by an advanced panel allows a safer, more effective operation and reduces energy consumption.
Replacement of the existing control panel involves the following tasks/services:
- Application of an electronic control panel equipped with state-of-the-art technology with a VVVF drive (if requested) and cabin and level call storing;
- Replacement of the whole lift control and signalling electrical installation;
- Application of a preservation control at the top of the cabin;
- Application of a position encoder with the goal of making the level and cabin location system a more reliable system;
- Replacement of electric cable that travels between the control panel and lift cabin by a flexible, multicore electrical tape;
- Replacement of all safety switches in the shaft/pit and machine room;
- Replacement of cabin button panel by a more modern button panel pursuant to the legislation in force;
- Replacement of level button panels by more modern, effective button panels effective button panel by installing illuminated call buttons and/or a digital position indicator.
Technical Features of the
ULTRA GNME:
- Compliance with European Standards;
- Optional operation under a simplex or duplex system;
- Programming and setting of parameters via a console integrated in the main board: time, settings, functions, etc.
- Malfunctioning indication via an LCD display in the control board, including: malfunction code, description, date, hour, speed, direction, destination, reset type and malfunction history (the last 100 malfunction logs).
- Stop due to excess travelling time;
- Multi-voltage transformer and brake output: 45, 60, 100, 120 and 190 V to allow adaptation to existing machines;
- Position indicator digital output;
- Automatic door control output;
- Assembly in sealed housing IP-55, dimensions 800x600x300.
Benefits of this upgrade:
- Increased reliability as the lift is now functioning with less components liable to fail therefore decreasing electrical malfunctions;
- The use of the microprocessor allows a higher traffic performance as there is a permanent update on lift status as to level and cabin calls.
- Possibility of operation under a duplex system which allows the closer lift to respond to level calls.
- Adapts to all types of installation;
- Energy saving;
- Compliant with the legislation in force.
The electronic speed regulation system is technically recommended as it has the following benefits:
- System speed is adjustable until reaching nominal speed, as opposed to systems based in one or two speeds only, allowing to obtain improved smoothness and comfort when the lift is in motion, when it takes off, when it decreases speed and when it stops;
- As stops are electronically controlled, as opposed to one or two-speed systems where stops required the use of mechanical breaks, they become smoother and more precise, preventing accentuated gaps between the cabin and levels, regardless of the transported load;
- Because this is a variable speed system, mechanical wear is reduced, resulting in improved equipment reliability and durability;
- Starting current is drastically decreased so energy consumption gains can reach 30% when compared to conventional systems. Return on this investment will be achieved in few years;
- Lower noise levels due to lift engine and reducer operation smoothness;
- Less wear in many moving parts (machine, engine, brakes, wheel, cables, speed limiter, etc.)
- Increased building value due to decreased energy consumption (improved energy efficiency);
- Improved environment preservation by reducing energy consumption.
